Manual Physical Therapy

Pain Management

Comprehensive approach to diagnosing, treating and alleviating pain. It aims to reduce intensity of pain, improve function and enhance the patient's quality of life.

The period of care following a surgical procedure which encompasses all aspects of recovery and treatment after surgery. The main purpose is a smooth and safe transition returning patients to their best quality of life.

Pelvic Floor Therapy

A specialized form of physical therapy that focuses on muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that support the pelvic organs. This therapy addresses pelvic pain, incontinence and urinary frequency, painful intercourse, scar tissue, pregnancy (*pre-conception through post-partum) and nutritional concepts.

Micro Current Point Stimulation

Microcurrent Point Stimulation Therapy applies brief, concentrated microcurrent impulses to specific treatment points that naturally reduces nervous system stress, relaxing muscle tone and releasing the body's natural pain killers, endorphins. This multi-pronged effect on the body's nervous, muscular and endocrine systems is the reason why the Dolphin Neurostim works so fast and effectively with many chronic pain and stress conditions.

Graston

Graston Technique (GT) enables physical therapists to address scar tissue, fascial restrictions and range of motion limitations. This non-invasive technique uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to identify and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

FAQS

What insurances are accepted at Focus Physical Therapy?

Most insurances are accepted. Please call to inquire with further questions at 920-893-6070 or talk to your insurance directly. Our Wellness Package is another excellent alternative for those who are not able to get insurance coverage as well.

Do I need a doctor's order to attend therapy?

Some insurances, such as Medicare, DO require a doctor's referral for services to be covered. Other insurances, do not require a doctor's referral. Please ask us for more details.

What if I don't have a doctor's order, but I would like to be seen at Focus Physical Therapy?

At Focus Physical Therapy, we offer Wellness Packages. These packages allow patients to buy a bundled amount of Physical Therapy sessions to address their rehabilitation needs.

What does my insurance cover? Do I have a copay?

We verify your insurance on your first visit and will have your specific information ready for you at that time. The Wellness Packages can be very helpful if you have a high deductible as well as if you want to continue your care after insurance ends.

What should I expect at my first visit?

You should arrive early to complete your paperwork. Then your Physical Therapist will take you back to an individual treatment room to gather a subjective history, complete objective tests and measures and end the session with a plan for treatment.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

This really depends on each patient's individual presentation. Your Physical Therapist will go over this after evaluating you on your first visit.
